charlie...3 months

my baby is three months now. sounds cliche, but time has flown by! yesterday, i was looking through the photos and videos on my phone and realized what a blur most of it is, even though i swore to myself that i would remember every moment. an impossible task, i know. she has grown and changed so much; i dont even recognize her from her newborn photos...

this set of photos are just a few of my favorites that i took this past month. there are so many more, but i just cant keep up. im afraid if i waited until i have them all organized and processed, i will never get around to sharing them. and perhaps, as someone said to me, i am a bit obsessed with taking pictures of her. but what better subject than a baby to be obsessed with? at least thats what i tell myself. heh. this way, i will be able to immortalize her because i know she will continue to grow like a weed. :D







i just love these two. both my babies. ;)

eleanor turning 2!

so we already know that turning one is a BIG deal, but i discovered that turning two is a pretty big achievement too! and now being a mom myself, i will have to savor every moment because they grow up so quickly! this month, eleanor turned two and i was happy to have the opportunity to document what two year olds like to do... eat cake! :)
but before we get into our cake eating, we spend some time with mommy and daughter singing songs together. arent they beautiful? eleanor looks just like mommy!





and now...time for some cake!!




what is better than eating a yummy piece of cake? why, sharing it with a friend, of course! :)



we finished our shoot with a play session on the swings! happy birthday, eleanor!

happy father's day!

my whole life, i have known how important fathers are. now that charlie is here, i realize this even more so.
here's to all you wonderful dads...thank you for your hard work and unconditional love! hope you have had a wonderful father's day weekend!

better a lil' late than never...right? :)

this entry is lonnng overdue. but between feedings, diaper changing, catching up on projects, and trying to sleep, well, late is better than nothing.

on may 3, i met the new love of my life (not to be confused with the other love of my life ;). we weren't expecting her for another three weeks and were quite unprepared - my husband had only assembled her bed the day before, thinking we had more time. but when she arrived, we were just grateful she was healthy and beautiful. ever since then, our lives have been a whirlwind of emotions, not to mention we have had to adjust to a whole new schedule that is no longer centered around us.

over the past six weeks, i've taken countless photos of charlie, many of which i have shared on facebook and flickr. i now understand how mothers feel about their child. the adoration, the awe, the endless gushing over their little one. i admit, being a mom wasn't something i had imagined for myself. but now that i have been blessed with this precious package, i just cant get enough of her... its really difficult to express how much joy this tiny person can bring!

these are just a few of my favorites from the growing collection. not even two months and she's already looking into the camera... i just hope she will like having her picture taken because she is officially my new muse. :)

los angeles family session ~ a beautiful family

on my facebook page, i asked the question, "what do you get when you bring together two beautiful people in love?" well, you just guessed it! A BEAUTIFUL FAMILY! i knew melissa and omar was an adorable couple, but i got to know them even better on the day of our shoot, and i just couldnt help but fall in love with them as a couple and as a family. they are so loving and sweet! and such great parents!!

we started our session with just mommy and daddy, and then we brought in little jacob. youll recognize him by his yummy cheeks! i just wanted to bite him, he was so cute! his older brother nicholas was taking a nap, so we got a few shots of just the three of them until older brother awoke from his slumber. once nicholas woke from his nap, we had a blast! just like the rest of his family, he is so photogenic! i also learned something else about this little guy...he is mom's little protector! as we were walking through the uneven tall grass, he was holding on to her, making sure she didnt slip or trip over any rocks. how sweet is that? it was so cute to see him be so protective of her!

thank you, guys, for braving the dirt and dust! i know the terrain wasnt easy to handle, and getting your shoes and feet dirty was the last thing we wanted! but you were great and i had such a great afternoon photographing you. you make being beautiful parents look fun and easy! thanks for allowing me to capture these moments for you, im honored! you are indeed a beautiful family!
