...the end of 2011, and a new beginning

hi everyone! sorry for my long absence. i have been extremely busy! one of them has been being a mom, along with preparing for a new year. esperanzajenn photography will be moving into its third year of business in 2012 and i have some great news to share. in reflecting on this past year, communicating with clients, and evaluating our ever changing economy, there will be some changes for the upcoming year...i am excited about it! so stayed tuned!

its not everyday a baby comes into your life for the first time. being a first time mom and running a business has been tough. but i have to admit, ive learned so much. at the same time, i know that there is always room for growth as a photographer. hopefully, 2012 will be an opportunity for me to do just that. i wanted to thank those of you who have been supportive and encouraging ~ thank you for your love and support. you know who you are! :)

there were a few sessions i didnt get a chance to blog, so i will be wrapping it all up here on my end of the year entry. these are my favorite moments of 2011...

newborn session ~ baby travis

lately, so many women around me are either having a baby or are expecting. its been making me a bit envious, so of course i jumped at the opportunity to meet little travis. he was only six days old when i took these. you would think that a baby that new would be snoring away, oblivious to the world around him. not this little guy...he was ready for the world. in the few hours i was with him, i think he only took a few minutes nap total. but he is amazing, and a great sport, as you shall see...

i want to thank travis' mommy and daddy for allowing me into their lives at such a private and daunting time. thanks for letting me hold your baby. he is just the sweetest! enjoy every moment because it passes by too quickly... ❤





this next one is my favorite...this little guy has the most beautiful head, perfectly round. and a full head of jet black hair!

all grown up...and going to kindergarten

starting kindergarten is a very special time...and a sign that your baby is growing up. i can hardly believe that i have known gabriel four years! and since i know a whole bunch of other parents whose children are starting kindergarten this fall, i wanted to dedicate this entry to all of you proud parents! what an exciting, joyous, scary, and emotional time this must be for all you moms and dads! congrats on making it this far! just think, in no time you will be going to your little one's high school graduation! :D

charlie...3 months

my baby is three months now. sounds cliche, but time has flown by! yesterday, i was looking through the photos and videos on my phone and realized what a blur most of it is, even though i swore to myself that i would remember every moment. an impossible task, i know. she has grown and changed so much; i dont even recognize her from her newborn photos...

this set of photos are just a few of my favorites that i took this past month. there are so many more, but i just cant keep up. im afraid if i waited until i have them all organized and processed, i will never get around to sharing them. and perhaps, as someone said to me, i am a bit obsessed with taking pictures of her. but what better subject than a baby to be obsessed with? at least thats what i tell myself. heh. this way, i will be able to immortalize her because i know she will continue to grow like a weed. :D







i just love these two. both my babies. ;)

eleanor turning 2!

so we already know that turning one is a BIG deal, but i discovered that turning two is a pretty big achievement too! and now being a mom myself, i will have to savor every moment because they grow up so quickly! this month, eleanor turned two and i was happy to have the opportunity to document what two year olds like to do... eat cake! :)
but before we get into our cake eating, we spend some time with mommy and daughter singing songs together. arent they beautiful? eleanor looks just like mommy!





and now...time for some cake!!




what is better than eating a yummy piece of cake? why, sharing it with a friend, of course! :)
