turning one

my brother and i shot his friend jayne and johnny's wedding back in 2007. we were fortunate enough to shoot their daughter when she turned one this past december. i had a great time, and little jacklyn is so sweet and playful. mom told me she only takes to males. but lucky for me, she and i hit it off right away! here are a few from our shoot...

while on our way to the park, little jacklyn fell asleep. when we arrived, there was nothing we could do to wake her up, so we ended doing a shot of them all napping. how cute...napping with smiles! im learning that when you have a young child, flexibility is key!

childhood friends

one of my favorite things to do is to photograph children in their natural element ~ play. whether they be siblings or pals, i love to document these moments of their lives. on this day, i had the privilege of being part of two friends' play day, following them on their 'date.'

these two lovelies happen to be the daughters of my good friends. moms are busy people, so these two havent seen each other in a while. i wanted to tell a story about their time together. when they found out this day was planned just for them, they were so excited...and so was i!

and before they knew it, it started to melt! ahhh, the joys of living in southern california. ;)

we went to the park and the girls had a great time creating some artwork! the wind started to kick up a bit, but no children were hurt in the event.

baby's first autumn

alvaro and betty are the new and very proud parents of this adorable addition to their family. she is special indeed. some would even call her a miracle...after spending just a little time with her, i knew she was a truly a bundle of joy. congrats, betty and alvaro! your long awaited bundle is here! congrats! *clink*

i had such a great time photographing this family...if i ever met parents that could raise three amazingly great children, this couple would be it! such beautiful, gracious, and adorable family thanks for the opportunity to be part of your memories!
